Persisting on innovation, China’s top furniture brand CAMERICH carefully upgrades its official website (http://www.camerich.com) to show a clean and comfortable new image. And the effort pays. The past December of 2018 saw the website win the IAI Design Excellence Award with its concise, artistic and stylish design.
IAI Design Award, sponsored by Asia-Pacific Designers Federation (APDF), is one of the most influential and reputed design awards in Asia-Pacific region and even worldwide. The award involves three professional fields: interior design, architecture design and product design, and now extends to more areas including communication design, concept design, and fashion design.
This year’s IAI Design Award academic jury brought together 42 well-known designers from around the world, including Dutch designer KEES SPANJERS, Founding Chairman of APDF He Changcheng, Zhu Pei, Dean of the School of Architecture from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Chen Guangxiong, famous architecture and interior designer from Taiwan, etc.
There is a total of 1,376 entries competing for the 2018 awards. After three rounds of reviews, 42 were shortlisted and CAMERICH official website stood out to win the Design Excellence Award.
As the most important showcase of brand image, the official website directly conveys the character and connotation of the brand. Guided by CAMERICH’s “Less is More" home philosophy, the construction of the website took as long as 12 months, and gave consideration to both aesthetic and functional designs.
Combining motion and stillness together, the website uses minimalist, low-profile gray-tone page design to well display three key elements of CAMERICH: brand dynamics, products details and company culture, revealing a unique brand image of CAMERICH that possesses both international and oriental beauty.
The website was formally launched in Sept. 2017, with Chinese and English versions to meet different needs of global customers. It has independent page layouts on PC and mobile phone, and enjoys responsive layouts which are able to adapt to various screen sizes.
Design is the process from zero to the final result. Pictures, texts and videos all come to spark extraordinarily fresh ideas, rich contents and hearth-touching appeal. The combination of irregular typesetting, abstract and figurative elements, interesting links, and rich forms of interaction, gives people the desire to further explore CAMERICH with every click.
